The Fureys to bring celtic feel to the Thameside

LEGENDS of Irish music and song The Fureys and Davey Arthur will make their third appearance in the Thameside Theatre in Grays on Thursday, 15 May.

The band was formed in 1978 – by accident, literally.

George, Paul and Davey were playing in Denmark with their own band, The Buskers, while Eddie and Finbar were touring in Germany and became involved in a road accident.

When George, Paul and Davey got the news they immediately travelled to Germany to be with their brothers and decided they should all be playing together.

Inevitably there have been changes over 30 years, however George, Eddie and Davey Arthur have continued to delight audiences on their tours and have just released a new CD.

The emotive songs of The Fureys and Davey Arthur stir many emotions, tears and laughter, sadness and joy – a Fureys concert is always a night to remember.

The Fureys and Davey Arthur are at the Thameside Theatre, Grays on Thursday 15 May. Tickets at £19.50 are available from the box office online at or call 0845 3005264.
