CHILDREN from Gateway Cycling Club have helped to put Thurrock on the latest cycling map. They were asked for suggestions for the redesign of the map by the council’s travel team and Thurrock Cycle Forum.

After a spot of map reading they came up with the idea of adding places of interest to make it easier for planning routes for family days out.
The new map is now marked with a dozen visitor attractions including Chafford Gorges, Thameside Nature Parks and Tilbury Fort.
The map, which shows bike routes across the borough, received sponsorship from intu Lakeside.
You can download the map at Thurrock.gov.uk/cycling or pick it up at your local library or at the Civic Offices in Grays.
