THURROCK Council’s fostering team will be holding a drop-in session on Wednesday, 9 July, at the Tilbury Children’s Centre.
The event – one of several held throughout the year – will be at the London Road, centre between 9am and noon.
Team members will be available for a friendly chat or to answer questions on the process, training and support offered as well as on types of payment, which are no less than £267 a week.
Potential foster families do not have to live in the borough to be assessed. Thurrock Council is seeking people living within easy travelling distance of the borough who are interested in exploring for themselves whether they have the qualities needed, coupled with the desire to have their lives changed forever.
People can also call 01375 652 624, email [email protected] or visit www.thurrock.gov.uk/adoption for more information.
