Female cyclist with life threatening injuries following Chadwell collision

Update: 1530 hrs

POLICE have appealed for witnesses following a road crash at Chadwell St Mary in which a cyclist was seriously injured. Officers were called to Brentwood Road, shortly before noon on Tuesday July 1 following reports of a collision involving a cycle and a car.

The cyclist, a local woman aged in her 40s, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Queen’s Hospital, Romford by air ambulance.

The car involved was a white Fiesta driven by a local woman.

Essex – Brentwood Road in Chadwell St Mary closed between the Linford Road junction and the Claudian Way junction, because of an accident.
