RESIDENTS had a restless nights sleep as thunder and lightning took the whole borough by surprise.
Sheets of lightning caused a white out in the borough as well as localised flooding.
Flooding was holding up traffic at the North Stifford roundabout off the A13 but apart from that and a few traumatised little dogs, life seems to have got back to normal.
