THURROCK Council’s trading standards team has seized 50 handbags and purses thought to be counterfeit during a raid in Grays on Thursday (31 July).
Members of the team – backed up by Essex Police – executed a house warrant and seized the goods from brands including Mulberry, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Chloe.
All were suspected to be counterfeit and will be sent to the various brand representatives to confirm whether this is so.
The team also seized phones, computers and paperwork and took action after seeing the suspect goods being offered for sale on Facebook.
