POLICE in Grays are appealing for information following the theft and damage to items left on grave of a young child at Chadwell St Mary Cemetery, in Brentwood Road in July.
A mother reported to police that someone had twice taken Mickey Mouse toys from the grave and memorial to her son between July 13-17 and on July 29 she reported that balloons and cards had been damaged at her son’s graveside.
Investigating officer Pc Stuart Rawlings said: "This is a heinous offence which is inexcusable and I would appreciate receiving any information about who is responsible."
