THURROCK Council’s Langdon Hills team held a mini-beast safari on Wednesday (13 August) attracting crowds to Westley Heights.
More family-friendly events are planned over the remainder of the summer break.
These include Bonkers About Birds on 20 August between 1pm and 3pm – the cost is £3.50 per child who can come along and build their own bird box to take home, as well as joining the park’s experienced rangers on a family-friendly bird walk. The walk starts at 2pm.
On 27 August – again between 1pm and 3pm – the park hosts Krazy About Kites. At £3.50 per child, visitors can join the kite-building workshop, make their own kite then go and test it out on the park.
