MEMBERS of the Thurrock Courts Players took part in the world wide charity fundraiser, the Ice Bucket Challenge, for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
This event had particular significance for the theatre group as one of their longest serving members and secretary, John Scowen, died earlier this year from the dreadful disease.
Member Kevin Watts said, ‘We miss John terribly and we certainly miss him at our social events.
We just thought that it would be a good idea to show support to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) as they helped John so much when he was ill. Lots of members donated by texting ICED55 £10 to 70070
