RILEYS Sports Bars which has premises in Thurrock has gone into administration.
The 59-strong chain of pool and snooker halls has a premises in Clarence Road in Grays.
Deloitte has been appointed as administrator and has closed 15 venues immediately, at the cost of 104 jobs, along with another 20 at the Milton Keynes head office.
The remaining sites, which include the Grays bar, will continue to trade while the administrators explore options for the business.
A spokesman for Deloitte said: "Rob Harding and Ian Wormleighton of Deloitte have today been appointed administrators of Rileys Sports Bars Limited, an operator of multi-leisure sports venues, specialising in snooker and pool as well as offering darts, bingo and screen sports.
"The administrators will continue to trade Rileys whilst they investigate options to secure the best outcome for all of the Company’s creditors.
"On appointment it has been necessary to close 15 sites.
"Unfortunately this has resulted in 104 redundancies at those sites, with a further 20 at the company’s head office."
