Postmaster victim of hammer attack as robbers target Purfleet post office

    POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery at a post office in Purfleet.

    Two men entered the post office in Garrison Parade just before noon this morning Tuesday, September 30, armed with a hammer and demanded money.

    They arrived at the location on a moped and wore helmets, one was black and the other silver.

    A moped and a hammer have been recovered however the suspects are outstanding.

    A sum of money was stolen during the robbery. The post master received only minor injuries. One of the men is believed to be black and the other white.
