    Chingford 29 v 15 Thurrock

ANOTHER physical encounter ensued at Lea Valley where Thurrock were left rueing some inconsistent refereeing Thurrock being given three yellow cards, leaving them to play almost half of the match with 14 men, and it was the first of these midway through the first half that proved to be expensive, when the home side scored 14 unanswered points to added to two early penalties for the visitors to trail 20-0

Thurrock back to full strength for the last 10 minutes proved they had the scoring power and tries from Hagen Mumba and Earl Gorman with the latter being converted by Mumba and the gap was 20-12 at the break.

The game in the second half never had any momentum for either side with petty decisions stopping the flow of the game and again the visitors the wrong side of the referee, when high tackle produced a second yellow, only for Chingford to commit the same offence minutes later to go unpunished.

The only second half scores were 3 penalties to Chingford against a Mumba penalty for Thurrock.
