Stanford played some excellent rugby and the great team work saw them run out easy winners the final score was 12 – 76. Stanford’s scorers were Nathan Hawkes (Five) Adam Lakey (two) Jack Cochrane, Harry Taylor and Jamie Reason. Harry Taylor converted (eight).
Stanford u15s home to Medway – loss 7 – 37
Stanford under 15s welcomed for the first time Medway RFC to the rec. Medway came with a strong squad of 30 for the friendly and both teams agreed to play 3 periods to ensure all players got on the pitch and to allow the coaches to try out some positional changes. The game was played in great spirit and the packs were very evenly matched. Medway’s back line was the real difference and it took Stanford a long time to contain the fast moving runners. Medway were the eventual deserved winners but everyone agreed that the game was a pleasure to watch. Final score 7 – 37. Stanford’s try scorer was Jamie Wooffitt (two) with Joe Duligall converting (one). Stanford’s Forward of the match was Harvey Cassidy and Backs man of the match was Joe Duligall both awarded by the Medway coaches.
