HI Ho, Hi, Ho, it’s off to the Panto we go! Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is this year’s spectacular Pantomime at the Thameside Theatre in Grays running from Friday 5 December 2014 to Sunday 4 January 2015.
Leading the cast is the charmingly handsome Jeff Brazier (from ITV’s Dancing on Ice and This Morning) alongside West End Star Michelle Pentecost, who has appeared in Wicked and Evita. As always there will be spectacular scenery, dazzling costumes and amazing special effects in this magical pantomime that is suitable for the whole family.
This year, Polka Dot Pantomimes in association with the Thameside Theatre are launching an art competition for Panto enthusiasts (aged 11 years or under), with the best entry to be chosen as the front cover of the official show programme.
The winner will also receive a family ticket for four people to a show of their choice and an amazing invitation to have lunch with the cast.
All competition entries will be displayed in our special Christmas Grotto, so everyone who has taken part will be able to come in and see them.
Local youngsters are being challenged to use their best artistic talents to create bright and colourful pictures, using the story of Snow White as the central theme. Featuring wonderful characters such as the Prince, Snow White, the Wicked Queen and of course the Seven Dwarfs, this magical tale offers plenty of inspiration!
The official show programme will be on sale at each of the 52 scheduled performances and will be seen by more than 20,000 people during the run. Entries will be judged by Prince Charming himself.
All Thurrock Schools have been written to asking them to take part in this competition but you are free to enter with an entry from home too! If this is something you would like to do, then get designing and send your finished entry with your name, address, telephone number and age written clearly on the back, to Pantomime Art Competition, Thameside Theatre, Orsett Road, Grays, Essex RM17 5DX.
The closing date for entries is Friday 14 November 2014. The judge’s decision is final, this prize has no cash and all entries must be on A4 paper/card only and in portrait format. We are afraid that entries cannot be returned to their artist after the competition.
