Police investigate after man tries to lure teenage boy into car in Thurrock

ESSEX POLICE are investigating after reports that a teenage boy was accosted.

The alleged incident happened on Friday October 17th when a schoolboy was accosted by a man in a car whilst walking to school along Stifford Clays Road, near to the A13 bridge.

A police spokesperson said: "A man repeatedly asked the boy to get into the car. The man is described as white, 30-45 years, stocky build, sticky, greasy sleek straight hair, dirty marks on face, wearing a dirty white top.

"The car is described as a plain white estate car with a cage in the rear containing tradesman’s tools, very dirty and was last seen with the nearside door mirror hanging off.

"The boy was not hurt during the incident.
