Police watchdog to hold annual meeting in Thurrock

THE THURROCK Independent Advisory Group (IAG) is holding their annual general meeting next month.

The event will be on November 12th between 6.30pm and 8.30pm at the Sikh Temple in Maidstone Road, Grays.

This is a public event and is open to all.


Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, Nick Alston will be attending to discuss hate crime, make presentations to hate crime ambassadors and launch hate crime reporting centres in Thurrock

A spokesperson said: "Come and learn how community leaders play an important role in providing independent advice to Essex Police to ensure a fair and non-discriminatory Police service to all communities.

"Key roles are to build communities trust and confidence, promote community cohesion, act as critical friends and promote the reporting and prevention of hate crime."
