From Afghanistan to Tilbury, Tucker Baldwin serves his country

WE HAVE heard a lot about "far corners of foreign fields" over the past few weeks.

So, in a far corner of this website, the staff at Your Thurrock would like to say thank you Pte Tucker Baldwin for joining up, training and then serving in Afghanistan.

And then without any fuss or desire for publicity (and hence no photo), laying a wreath for all his fallen comrades over the (unfortunately) many years of conflict.

We know his mother, councillor Clare Baldwin is very proud of him. We know that his brothers and sisters are also.

Here is a Tilbury lad who is making something of himself.

The great-nephew of Pte William Reybauld, who died in Ypres on September 1916, would just like to say "Thanks"
