OVER 40 first and second year legal secretarial students were given the opportunity to impress a prestigious London based recruitment group and London’s leading global Law firm King Wood & Mallesons.
Both companies come in every year to offer students CV workshops, CV writing tips, finding the perfect job and converting job interviews into job offers. May and Stephens Recruitment Group also brought with them their newest team member, ex-Palmer’s student Georgia Mclean.
Recruitment Trainee, Georgia McLean, 19 from Corringham said: “It was really nice to return back to Palmer’s and tell students of my story and reminding them to make the most of the College bringing in these amazing companies to help you get a placement and potentially a job after that.”
King Wood & Mallesons have been recruiting Palmer’s students for years and have always been impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of our CILEx students. Both firms have offered students placements at their firms with some students being offered Legal Secretarial Trainee contracts, which has been the case over the last three years.
Mark Vinall, Principal of Palmer’s College said: “High quality employment is a key outcome for our Legal Secretarial students and this represents a continuation of the success we are having matching great students with great employers.”
Following the successful partnership with Ernst and Young who only select a handful of schools/Colleges nationally to promote their School Leaver Programme, King Wood & Mallesons also came in to help second year CILEx students prepare for their forthcoming interviews and specifically select a handful of students for their annual work experience programme.
