STARS of this year’s Thameside Theatre pantomime popped into South Essex College for a quick trim and chat with hairdressing students.
The hair and beauty class at the new Thurrock Campus were treated to a visit from Jeff Brazier and Juliette Dean, who will both appear in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Grays town centre theatre.
The youngsters were happy albeit slightly bashful at first when meeting the duo, but they were soon having their pictures taken and enjoying a chat.
Ellie Valentine, 17, was the lucky learner chosen to cut their locks. The level 3 diploma in hairdressing student from South Ockendon said: “I’m a big fan of Jeff anyway so I was really looking forward to meeting him. It’s the most excitement our class has seen all year!”
Jeff and Juliette, dressed as their characters Prince Charming and Snow White, were happy, not grumpy, to talk and take selfies with the students. Jeff even asked for some hairspray to touch up his do at one point after looking a little dopey when putting on a highlights cap!
Nicki Kelly, Head of Hair and Beauty at the College, said: “Jeff and Juliette were lovely, complimenting the College and spending lots of time with the girls. We wish them the best of luck for their pantomime performances.”
Show White and the Seven Dwarfs’ first show kicks off tomorrow (5 December) and runs all the way to 4 January. For more details and to book tickets, visit https://www.thurrock.gov.uk/events/snow-white
