Come and help scrub Mill Wood in Chafford

    COME and join Buglife and the Essex Wildlife Trust (EWT), to help clear scrub at the Mill Wood and Cliff Local Wildlife Site, part of the Chafford Gorges Nature Park.

    As part of the Thurrock Stepping Stones project, Buglife and EWT are working together to help enhance the Mill Wood site for the nationally rare bugs that live there.

    A spokesperson saidWe’ll be clearing scrub to encourage wildflowers to help the bees and wasps that nest in the site’s valuable sandy cliffs. We’ll also open up the footpath to create a sunny ride for local bugs and walkers alike.

    We will be outside so please wear appropriate, warm clothes and wear sturdy walking shoes. You will be provided with gloves and tools.
