Woodford 0 v 39 Thurrock
THURROCK’S long winless run came to an abrupt halt at lowly Woodford, with the visitors dominating the match from start to finish.
With five players back from injury the side looked to be in much better shape but the obvious lack of confidence was evident and a Hagen Mumba penalty and a Freddie Russo try was all Thurrock had to show for a first half display where they should have scored at least 2 more tries both times losing the ball over the line.
However the second half was much better and Thurrock again looked dangerous when attacking Mumba landed an early penalty and the resistance from the home side was finally broken when the backs made space for Russo to sprint clear for his second try, Mumba adding the conversion.
Tries came at regular intervals and scores came from Kealan Henry, Hagen Mumba and the pick of the bunch Nathan Farrell. Mumba added the conversions to all tries to run out 39-0 winners and deservedly so
The management hope that this will act as a confidence booster to the next two games before Christmas both being at Home against Barking and Romford
