Essex Police appeal for witnesses.
Two people have been seriously injured following a road collision in Orsett. It happened just before 3.40pm in Brentwood Road on Thursday, December 25.
Police are appealing for information and would like anybody who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
It involved a white Ford Connect transit style van being driven by an 18-year-old woman from the Orsett area and a red Renault Clio, driven by a 63-year-old man from the Linford area.
Both drivers were taken to the Royal London Hospital suffering from serious, potentially life changing, injuries.
The collision happened near the golf course. The road was closed until around 11.30pm.

Update: 2025 hrs
Firefighters were called to an RTC on the Brentwood Rd, Chadwell St Mary, two people were trapped in one vehicle, crews used specialist cutting equipment and worked with the Ambulance Service to release the casualties by 17:13hrs.
A man and a worman were placed in the care of the Ambulance Service.

YT understands that the location may be between the Orsett Cock and Chadwell St Mary.
Incident: 1730 hrs
A128 Brentwood Road in Bulphan closed between Dunton Hills Golf Centre and Orsett Cock, because of a serious accident.
