EMERGENCY services were sent to the QE2 Bridge at the Dartford Crossing in the early hours of Christmas morning to reports of a person on the wrong side of the railings.
Police officers were joined in the Thames below by the Gravesend RNLI lifeboat following the call out at around 3am.
After a period of time, police officers safely took the person into custody.
The lifeboat returned to the station.
