THE WINNER of the Chafford Hundred X Factor was Grace Holden from South Ockendon.
The Chafford Hundred X Factor competition was held just before Christmas.
The winner was 12 year old Grace Holden from Ockenden School , with runner up 19 year old Liam Wilkins and 3rd place was 15 year old Luke Studwick.
A spokesperson said: "Grace was a clear winner with a beautiful confident performance. As you know the event was in aid of the Karis May Darling Foundation and John and Kerri Darling attended at the beginning of the event before having to leave early and attend another another event elsewhere.
Just before they left Kerri and John raised the stakes of the competition by offering £100 to the winner and a chance to perform to over 5000 people at their summer event in Corringham.
So the winner got £100 and chance to perform at the Karis May Darling summer event, the runner up a professional recording session and Liam got Lakeside vouchers. We were also supported by local businesses in Grays who offered all the gifts for the raffle.
"We intend this event to be a regular yearly fixture and are grateful for all the local support".
