THURROCK remained just in touch with the play off places after drawing 1-1 with Chestnut at Ship Lane.
Thurrock are just four points off the play off places and there are still eighteen games to play but they must be frustrated at how many times they seem to lose valuable points.
Thurrock opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time. Joel Nouble took the ball to the byline and out-muscled his opponent before laying the ball back to Jordan Darko to smash home.
But it was the much-travelled Mitch Hahn who equalised for Chestnut with just seven minutes remaining.
Thurrock face the challenge of league leaders Harlow Town on Saturday.
