Grays Ath 1 v 3 Lewes
GRAYS slumped to their first defeat under the temporary stewardship of Mark Bentley against Lewes at the Mill Field.
Grays looked like they had done enough to earn a hard fought draw against the Sussex side but this was one of those typical games against Lewes that Grays just didn’t make or receive any rub of the green.
An early goal by former Blues favourite Leroy Griffith had Grays on the back foot for most of the game.
But Grays did find an equaliser in the 62nd minute through Dumebi Dumaka. It looked like the Blues were doing enough until a goal by Nicky Wheeler in the 86th minute and then the sucker punch as Elliott Romain put the game beyond doubt in the 88th minute.
