Charity football match to be organised for brave Channan Petrides

A GRAYS woman who is fighting cystic fibrosis is organising a charity football match as part of her cause.

Channan Petrides has been told by doctors that she has between 12-18 months to live. However, brave Channan has drawn up a "Bucket List" in order to raise awareness of the condition.

The next event is a charity football match organised by friend Darren Manning through his celebrity contacts. His team Herongate Athletic will take on a celebrity/ex-professional XI featuring Ricky Rayment and Frank Major from Towie, TV star Jack Tweed, model Sam Reece Eckhardt, Big Brother’s Winston Showan, Ross Worswick from Ex on the Beach and ex-West Ham player Kenny Brown.

More stars are also in talks to play.

Tickets for the Sunday March 29 match are £5 and can be bought at, the AFC Hornchurch clubhouse, Vanity Beauty Salon in Grays and Shimmer Hair Studio in Hornchurch Road, Hornchurch.
