Update: Police suspend search for missing Grays woman Keeley Mason after body found

Update: 2230 hrs

THE search for missing Grays woman Keeley Mason has been suspended this evening, Saturday, January 31, following the discovery of a woman’s body.

The body of a woman was found shortly before 6pm today.

The body is yet to be formally identified but Keeley’s family have been updated and the police search suspended.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and police will now be liaising with HM Coroner.


POLICE are searching for a missing woman who was last seen leaving her home in Gordon Road in Grays at around 11am on Friday, January 30.

Police are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and ask anyone who knows her whereabouts to contact them.

Keeley Mason, aged 38, is 5 ft tall, of slim build and has green eyes. She has shoulder-length straight blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black knee-length coat with a fur trimmed hood with black leggings and black boots.

Anyone who has seen her or has details of her whereabouts should contact officers at Grays on 101.
