Labour’s Ella Vine fights anti-social behaviour in Stanford-le-Hope

ELLA Vine, Labours’ candidate for the local election in Stanford le Hope West, has taken action over public safety issues arising from anti-social behaviour and fly tipping in the private Sandpits car park on Kings Street.

According to Ms Vine, the car park has recently become a place where people dump their rubbish and potentially hazardous substances, often in quite large quantities.

Ms Vine has also discovered that there has also been a significant increase in anti-social behaviour especially at night, when local residents are subjected to loud music and verbal abuse.

Ella said: “Sandpits car park is in the heart of Stanford le Hope where many people walk on daily basis. They should not be exposed to the potential health risks of rubbish, potentially hazardous substances and verbal abuse from people. I have reported the issue to the council’s Public Protection Department. I am also liaising with the police to find a solution to stop the anti-social behaviour. I am keen to work with the site owner in resolving these issues.

She added: "The Tories cuts to our local police service are very concerning; this is why I have asked Essex Police to outline their plans for policing in Stanford including my campaign to operate a mobile police station in Stanford.”
