THURROCK Scouts are the largest youth organisation in Thurrock and later this month they will be increasing their provision to 14-18 year olds with a new Explorer Scout section in Grays.
On Wednesday 25th February the new section will be launched and the Scouts are inviting anyone interested in joining to come down and find out more about some of the exciting opportunities available to them. The meeting will take place between 7pm and 9pm at Woodside Academy, Grangewood Avenue, Grays, RM16 2GJ.
Scouting offers fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others and make a positive impact in local communities.
The young people develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. The experiences available and skills developed help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
