    1. Intu Lakeside Kids’ Club

Outside House of Fraser Level 1

THE intu Lakeside Kids’ Club is back in 2015, with the first event over February Half Term.

A spokesperson said: "Our Kids’ Club will take place in our Fab Lab as we adventure into space! Each little astronaut will get to make one of the following crafts at the event:

Clay model aliens – Design your very own ‘Oh’. Using coloured modelling clay children can create their own aliens.

Alien mask making – Children can decorate their own out space alien mask.

Make your mask as creepy and gooey as you like, from one eye to ten!

Alien finger puppets – Craft made of felt , fabric glue and string. This is perfect for children of all ages as it allows them to be creative, make their very own mini alien to take home.

Flying saucepan – Children can make their own favourite colour flying saucepan, with an additional alien inside. Decorate the UFO to your own fancy with ideas from outside if this world.

We will also be running shows about exploring and adventuring into the atmosphere, experiments and discovery. Each one will include interactive fun with games, songs and stories. Show times are each day at the following times: 11am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4pm.

    2. The Little Mermaid at the Tameside

The beloved tale of the little mermaid is brought to the stage in a brand new production by the internationally acclaimed ‘Panto Company’. Following a sell-out tour of China, The Panto Company bring you their adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson’s story.

It follows the dreams of a young girl who believes there is something more for her out of the water. Of course there’s a handsome prince, an evil baddie and bucket loads of laughs along the way.

With stunning scenery, eye catching costumes, original songs plus up to date chart songs and not forgetting loads of audience participation this show makes for a thoroughly entertaining family day out.
