Tonbridge Angels 3 v 1 East Thurrock United
THERE is an inconsistency creeping into East Thurrock’s results that may cost them dear at the end of the season.
But to be fair, this was described as Tunbridge Angel’s best performance of the season in beating East Thurrock 3-1.
The Rocks also have the compensation that despite losing they remain in the play off places with twelve games to play.
Angel’s Tommy Whitnell scored his first goals since September. He got the first on 12 minutes, hammering home from close range. The second came in the 23rd minute when he turned neatly, again, from six yards out.
It was 3-0 before half time when Joe Taylor pounced on a mistake by the Rock’s keeper.
The second half was always going to be about damage limitation.
Debutant, Ellis Brown pulled one back fifteen minutes from time.
