Estuary Logistics back National Apprenticeships Week

TO coincide with National Apprenticeship week, Estuary Logistics are launching our new apprenticeship programme which will begin by employing 6 new apprentices from the Essex area to work within a number of different departments within the company.

Estuary Logistics are an award winning freight forwarder who works with some of the high streets biggest brands. We have recently moved to a new larger sight in South Ockendon to accommodate our ever expanding team and a new 36,000 square foot warehouse.

Owner and founder James Circus, who recently won the Essex Business Excellence award for Outstanding Business Person, believes firmly in investing in his team in order to see the best results.

“Key members of the team get regular coaching with weekly sessions for the sales and marketing team from an external coach. I’ve qualified as an Action Business Coach so I use my skills internally, which gives them a level of development unparalleled in the logistics industry – and they are motivated and enthusiastic as a result. The team are all dedicated – they like coming to work – and I think that shows that I’ve got the right people and created the right environment for them.”

The six new apprenticeships will be within our Imports and Exports teams, Marketing, Waste Management and Warehousing. They will be joining current apprentice, 17 year old George Elliott from South Ockendon who is two months into the twelve month programme.

“I started looking for apprenticeships on the government website when I decided that I would rather go out and get experience in the work place rather than sit in a class room at 6th form. I’m really enjoying being at Estuary and I feel like I’m learning something new every day, they really take the time to help me understand new tasks.

After the 12 months is up I will have a level two Office Clerk BTEC and a year’s worth of work experience, it’s the best of both worlds really– and you get paid!”

Applications are open now and if you or you know a young person who would like to kick start their career please send over a copy of you CV and a short cover letter to:
