Off to see the Wizard of Oz at the Thameside this Easter

THE perfect Easter treat for children of all ages will be presented at the Thameside Theatre as a sparkling new adaptation of The Wizard Of Oz arrives in Grays on Thursday 2nd April. The show will be performed by Polka Dot Pantomimes who were responsible for the spectacular production of Snow White recently seen at the Thameside Theatre.

This colourful retelling will include all your favourite characters in this song and dance spectacular which will vividly evoke the merry old land of Oz.

The classic story follows the adventures of Dorothy, a young girl who is transported over the rainbow into the magical world of munchkins, witches and a wonderful wizard. Along the yellow brick road Dorothy encounters the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion and their adventures finally lead them to the Emerald City, where mayhem and mischief await them. The show is funny, exciting and suitable for children of all ages.

Developed from the ever popular 1939 MGM screenplay, The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting adaptation of the all time classic, and features the iconic songs Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Follow the Yellow Brick Road and We’re Off to See the Wizard. All the favourite characters and iconic moments will be there as Polka Dot presents this magical adventure which features West End performers.
