THERE are 15 places available for young people who want to learn about the backstage experience at the Thameside Theatre in Grays.
The theatre is hosting a Technical Experience Day on Wednesday, 1 April between noon and 3.30pm for people aged 14 to 16 – or in Years 9 to 11 – at £3 each.
The afternoon promises to be full of exciting workshops – led by the technicians of the theatre – and includes a backstage tour, chances to experiment with sound and lighting. It is supported by The Backstage Centre, Purfleet.
The fun workshops are designed to give young people a taste of the backstage world of theatre and how shows are run and are ideal for someone who is looking to have a future career in the arts.
