TWO major Thurrock roads are being closed during the day for works next month.
Fenner Road, between Chafford Hundred and Lakeside, and The Manorway west-bound from The Sorrells roundabout will both be affected.
Resurfacing of The Manorway – from The Sorrells to the Southend Road slip – will take place on Sunday, 12 April, between 10am and 6pm. The alternative route for west-bound vehicles will be via Church Lane, Lampits Hill, and Southend Road.
And a detailed examination of the railway bridge over Fenner Road is planned for Thursday, 9 April between 9.30am and 3.30pm with traffic being diverted via the A1306 arterial road.
Clarence Road in Corringham – a cul-de-sac off Herd Lane – will also be closed between 8am and 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday 11 and 12 April, for maintenance work.
