FIRE CREWS tackled a fire in a mid-terrace house in Cruick Avenue, South Ockendon.
Crews had extinguished the fire by 15:57 and remained at the scene another 40 minutes turning over and damping down and clearing smoke from the house using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
Crews in breathing apparatus used one main jet and one hose reel jet at this incident.
