Family Mosaic announce new service arrangements

AT an open day event in Grays, Family Mosaic revealed the changes in the delivery of their services partly due to a reduction in their funding. Although their home visit service is still available for those who require it, Family Mosaic has had to adopt a new ‘drop in’ service model with a number of locations around Thurrock hosting the service.

The staff of Family Mosaic, an organisation that provides care and support services to vulnerable and needy residents of Thurrock, were upbeat about the new style of service delivery as they circulated amongst the attendees which included Thurrock Council staff, other organisations and service users.

Among the services offered by Family Mosaic are help with neighbour disputes, accessing health and social services, sorting out rent arrears, problems for those threatened with homelessness and getting support for drug/alcohol problems or mental health problems.

Those with the greatest need for support can also have access to Family Mosaic’s range of training courses and activity groups, all of which can help vulnerable and needy residents take some control of their lives and get some much needed social interaction.

The new ‘drop in’ service can be used by anyone who is in need of help and advice.
