Traffic woes after A13 shut for hours after road traffic incident near Wennington

UPDATED: 1845 hrs

A13 London bound. All lanes re-opened after Wennington following earlier accident.

Delays to A1012 Stifford Interchange.

Update: 1755 hrs

A13 closed and very slow traffic London-bound between Lakeside and Ferry Lane Interchange, because of a serious accident. Congestion to Tilbury.

Update: 1645 hrs

A13 Greater London – Very slow traffic and long delays on A13 eastbound in Wennington between the Marsh Way junction and Wennington Interchange.

Update 1610 hrs

A13 Essex – A13 closed and stationary traffic London-bound between Lakeside and Ferry Lane Interchange, because of a serious accident. Congestion to Tilbury.

Westbound closure remains in place from M25 to Ferry lane but trapped traffic is now being released. Long delays in area.

Update: Statement from Fire Service

Firefighters released a casualty trapped after a car collided with the central reservation. Using two sets of cutting equipment firefighters had released them by 13:26hrs leaving the casualty in the care of the Ambulance Service.

A13 in Wennington closed and stationary traffic westbound between Wennington Interchange and Ferry Lane Interchange, because of a serious accident.

Congestion on M25 to J31 A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock.

Delays and queuing traffic on A1306 Arterial Road Purfleet westbound in Purfleet between Meads Corner and Chandler’s Corner.

Incident: 1355 hrs

Possible delays due to a serious accident on the A13 London bound nr Purfleet causing traffic congestion on local roads.

A13 in Wennington closed and stationary traffic in both directions between Wennington Interchange and Ferry Lane Interchange, because of a serious accident.

Congestion to Ferry Lane Interchange and on M25 to J31 A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock.

A1306 Essex – Queuing traffic and delays on A1306 Arterial Road Purfleet westbound in Purfleet between Meads Corner and Chandler’s Corner.
