ORGANISERS of the Thurrock Park Run are hopeful that the event will be underway next month.
The announcement comes the day after the London Marathon saw tens of thousands take to the streets to run 26 miles.
There are thousands of the 5 kilometre races around the country. There are races in Basildon, Brentwood, Harlow, Dartford, Hornchurch, to name just a few.
The proposed course for the Thurrock Park Run is in the Orsett Heath area.
YT spoke to organiser, Trevor Rawson who told us that he is on constant contact with Thurrock Council.
Trevor said: "All we need know is when the football pitch work is to end and we can confirm/measure the course and go.
"I am in regular contact with Thurrock Council and it looks like it will be a late spring or early summer launch".
