Purfleet woman set for trial over rabies laws

A WOMAN from Purfleet is set for trial over an accusation that she flouted anti-rabies laws.

It is alleged that Barbara Marzec (42) of Rapier Close, Purfleet on September 13th, 2014 "caused to land" a number of yellow labradors from France and Poland contrary to the Rabies (Importation of Dogs, Cats and other Mammals) Order 1974 and Sections 72(b) and 76(2) of the Animal Health Act 1981.

Marzec was bailed until May 15th.

The complainer is Thurrock Council.
