Air ambulance lands in Bridge Road, Grays

AN ESSEX air ambulance landed near to Bridge Road in Grays this afternoon (Friday).

The helicopter landed on a tiny plot of land near to St Thomas’ church after reports that a man had been taken ill.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to Bridge Road, Grays at around 1.35pm today (Friday May 1) to a report that a man had been taken ill.

"Officers and the ambulance service are currently at the scene".

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to an incident on Bridge Road, Grays at 1.20pm on Friday 1st May.

"An ambulance, Herts air ambulance, an ambulance officer and a rapid response vehicle attended and treated a man in a serious condition".
