Statement from Essex Fire Service
Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving one vehicle. One man was trapped and crews used specialist cutting equipment to release the man by 15:02hrs.
One woman, also in the vehicle, was released before the arrival of the fire crews.
The casualties were placed in the care of the Ambulance Service.

A13 Essex – Slow traffic on A13 eastbound in Aveley after Lakeside, because of an accident involving a car and a lorry earlier on. All lanes have been re-opened. Congestion to Ferry Lane Interchange.
1630 hrs
All lanes re-opened at Orsett Cock.
