ON Monday June 1st the Chadwell St Mary Centre celebrates its birthday, and between 10.00am and 1.00pm there will be scones, stawberries and cream available, plus cakes and light refreshments.
The new Mayor of Thurrock has been invited to this event, which not only marks a milepost in the Centre’s history but also is a tribute to all the volunteer-effort from many people that has gone into getting the Centre – and the garden! – where it now is; this will be a fitting event in Chadwell St Mary to celebrate the start of National Volunteer Week.
Volunteers from other parts of Thurrock are warmly invited to attend!
