Travel woes for Thurrock commuters on C2C line

    Following earlier electrical supply problems between Barking and Grays all lines have now reopened. Services are now running normally.

    Power has been returned to the mainline, trains now able to run into Fenchurch Street.

    Latest information as we have it.

    From C2C: "We do not have a time for the power to be restored on the loop. There are services running on the Ockendon branch line."

    Power has NOT been restored to Barking – Grays Via Rainham & Grays to Pitsea.

    Bus replacement all stations grays to pitsea leaving 1215

    From C2C "Network Rail control inform that we will have power back to the mainline only and limited power on the Tilbury/Rainham.. SOON.

    From C2C: "Sorry we do not have a definite time for normal service."

    No trains between Tilbury Town / Upminster and London Fenchurch Street until approximately 10:00hrs,

    There are delays to the replacement bu services due to a road traffic accident on the A13 also there is congested travel around Upminster

    Update: 0830 hrs

    Electrical supply problems between Tilbury Town and London Fenchurch Street mean that trains will be unable to run between Tilbury Town / Upminster and London Fenchurch Street until approximately 10:00.

    Buses are running between Barking and Grays via Rainham and between Upminster and Tilbury Town.

    Alternative travel options

    Passengers may use Abellio Greater Anglia, Docklands Light Railway, London Buses and London Underground services on any reasonable route.

    Initial report

    COMMUTERS are facing travel chaos this morning (Wednesday) after power problems on c2c trains from Shoebury to London.

    The train operator tweeted that electrical supply problems mean trains can only run to Upminster and to Tilbury Town.

    Tickets are bein accepted on Greater Anglia services from Southend to London Liverpool Street.

    London buses are accepting passengers until further notice.

    Network Rail engineers are expected to be at scene at 0755hrs.
