A 20-year-old man from Grays has been charged with wounding with intent to inflict GBH in connection with an assault in Brooke Road on Sunday, June 14.
Jake Tierney-Campbell of Richmond Road, will appear at Basildon Magistrates Court on Monday, June 29.
An 18-year-old woman from Grays who had been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until August 8.
