FIRE CREWS were called to a large pile of rubbish alight on wasteland in Mollands Lane, South Ockendon.
Crews reported the area is well alight and measures approximately 10 x 10 metres,
Firefighters are using one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Update: Crews extinguished the fire by 17:45hrs.
