COME to the Drake Road Community Centre on Saturday 18th July, 3pm-6pm for a fun family day to raise money for John Rushton Appeal.
John’s story began at Christmas, 2014
"Christmas is usually a time for family fun. Sadly last Christmas was spoilt when John contracted a rare form of pneumonia.
He was taken to hospital Christmas evening and placed into a medically induced coma for five days.
He left at home his loving wife Janine and 10 year old daughter Amy – neither gave up hope and visited every day.
John’s condition worsened over New Year as he developed septocimia and multiple organ failure which required him to have dialysis every day.
Due to the desease he had, he quickly lost the blood flow to he’s exremities and thus gangrene developed meaning hes fingers, toes and feet turned black and died.
