    Stanford-le-Hope 2nd XI – 169 all out

    Harlow 2nd XI – 196 all out

STANFORD inserted Harlow and made immediate inroads reducing the visitors to 31-4.

A partnership by Jeff Wiltshire (56) and Joe Riddell (24) rescued the Harlow innings and boosted the total to a healthy 196 further lower order contributions from George Messenger (28) and Mitchell Howarde (23)

Stanford were left to rue some missed opportunities in the field but did manage to pick up full bowling points with Neil Fuller recording his first second team five wicket haul with figures of 5-31 from 9 overs including two maidens.

After tea Stanford got off to a flyer and were 92-2 but a collapse cost the home side dearly and they came up 27 runs short of victory.

Dave Gaylor (37), Drew Robinson (28) and Alex Ellis (25) were the only batsmen to get starts.

Wickets were shared among the Harlow attack, Joe Riddell 3-20 and Danny Stone 2-17 recording the most impressive figures. Mitchell Howarde and Amir Farooq picked up two wickets each.
