Football: East Thurrock announce four new signings

RYMAN League Premier Division club East Thurrock United has announced four new signings for the forthcoming season in Lucas Lidakevicius, Harry Honesty, George Craddock and Sammy Knott.

Goalkeeper Lidakevicius was with Barnsley, turning professional in 2012 and then being released in May 2013.

Capped by Lithuania at under-21 level, he returned to his homeland after his release by the Tykes and played for Zalgiris Vilnius in two spells, sandwiched by a season with Granitas Klaipeda.

Honesty is a former Haringey Borough, Thurrock, Catholic United nd Greenhouse London forward.

Midfielder Craddock, who can also play left-back, is a former Northampton Town and Margate player.

Craddock ended the 2013/14 season on ‘work experience’ from the Cobblers at Welling United where he helped the Wings win the Conference South title and promotion.

He moved to Margate in the summer of 2014 and spent part of last season on loan with Merstham.

Knott came through the youth set-up at Concord Rangers, making his debut for the first-team at the age of 16 away at Wealdstone in the final game of the 2011/12 season, and was dual-registered to Concord and Great Wakering Rovers.

He then moved onto Aveley in the summer of 2103.
